David Wardell

Driver Guide

Born in 1963 David ran a successful restaurant in Kildare for many years. He is married to a member of Ireland's Three Day Event team and a hopeful for the Irish Horseriding Olympic Team. His uncle is the Earl of Erne and he is closely connected to the aristocracy of Britain and Ireland - his great-grandfather was the Duke of Westminister. All our guides are charming, but he is one of the sweetest and most endearing men you could meet. Apart from mostly being university graduates, professionally qualified and approved, many are published authors, often experts in their field or even members of the aristocracy. They are specially chosen by us for their pleasant manner, charm and intelligence and to complement the interests and profiles of our clients. They will be your mentor, guide and friend during your time on vacation. Our driver guides are the jewel in our crown. Scenery, hotels, good food and activities are all elements of your vacation experience but people make the memories. Our driver guides can also arrange privileged access to private homes and gardens and an entrée to high society and the aristocracy. We can also provide driver guides for most languages and nationalities. However, most of all, your guide is there for you – to make your vacation a seamless experience and provide you with plenty of happy holiday memories.

Jim Scobie

Driver Guide

Jim is Scottish, but has lived in London for 25 years. Jim has always loved the outdoors, travel, adventure and learning about new cultures. For ten years he ran overland trips in India and South America, but has now come back to London where he trained as a Blue Badge Guide. He is a member of The Institute of Tourist Guiding and The Association of Professional Tourist Guides. Many of his clients are families with young children and it’s a pleasure for me to share London’s exciting history with them. He has an informal, story-telling style of guiding – though of course he can provide a list of dates for those that want them!
