Siwandu Camp is set within Nyerere National Park, Africa’s largest and one of its oldest protected wilderness areas (formerly Selous Game Reserve), offering a truly immersive safari experience.

The camp is easily reached by light aircraft in approximately 45 minutes from Dar es Salaam, or by 4×4 in about 1 hour 20 minutes from Jongomero.

As the first camp established in Nyerere, Siwandu has a long history of welcoming distinguished guests, including royalty, all drawn to its timeless elegance and extraordinary charm.

While Jongomero is celebrated for its exclusive location and signature safari experiences, Siwandu offers a unique and equally captivating adventure, centered on water-based safaris. Guests can explore the park’s lakes and waterways aboard private boats, enjoying intimate wildlife encounters and a completely different perspective of Tanzania’s remarkable wilderness.
