Singita Grumeti - Adams & Butler

Iconic Hotels

Singita Grumeti is located adjacent to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, an integral part of the Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem, the home of the Great Migration. The lodge is situated on a hill overlooking 350,000 acres of private game reserve, with all the facilities of a five-star hotel. The Big Five wander the plains below, which can be viewed up-close from an open-sided vehicle or on foot.

Located in the northeast of Tanzania on the border of the Serengeti National Park, through which more than a million wildebeest, zebra and Thompson’s gazelle migrate annually. The lodge itself is on a hill, with a private airstrip for plane access (otherwise it’s a seven-hour drive to Arusha).

Accommodation includes five distinct lodges– Singita Sasakwa lodge with its hilltop position, Singita Sabora Tented Camp, Singita Faru Faru Lodge with a contemporary style to the safari, and Serengeti House, villa-style home or Singita Explore, a private-use tented camp set up according to wildlife movement–which includes a private vehicle, guide and full staff.

There are swimming pools in the main lodge area. Spa and gym facilities are available.

The Singita Grumeti committed to the preservation of Africa’s wilderness while balancing conservation, community and hospitality. The Reserve incorporates a wide diversity of habitat types from wide open grasslands in the west to woodland savanna in the east, and riverine forest along the banks of the Grumeti River. Resident wildlife is abundant, including the “Big Five”. Singita Grumeti hosts the massive herds of the Great Migration from May to July and again in November and December.
