Located just twenty minutes’ drive from the city of Rotorua and Rotorua International Airport, car hire is highly recommended enabling you the freedom to explore neighbouring destinations and attractions at your leisure. Rotorua is a leisurely three-hour drive from the gateway city of Auckland, and a five to six-hour drive from New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington. Chauffeured and helicopter transfers are available on request.

Solitaire Lodge has 10 newly refurbished, luxurious suites. All feature panoramic views of the still, deep waters and magnificent volcano. Freestanding baths allow views over the lake while soaking. Complimentary mini bar, fruit and snacks are also at hand.
