Split Apple Retreat - Adams & Butler

Iconic Hotels

New Zealand’s Split Apple Retreat is unlike anything you’ve ever visited before. A quiet Abel Tasman National Park luxury accommodation retreat and wellness spa hideaway, built high above Tasman Bay, offers both every indulgence as well as the additional promise of exceptional good health.
The Retreat’s gourmet menu is individually drawn up for guests to take into account any dislikes and favorites, as well as dietary requirements, then designed to deliver optimal health benefits in a series of fresh, delicious, gourmet dishes.
The Split Apple Retreat is situated at the edge of the pristine, oceanfront Abel Tasman National Park, near Nelson on the South Island. Besides the pool, spa, massage, meditation and wellness facilities at the Retreat, local activities include private access to 2 beaches, sea kayaking, fishing, boating, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and swimming with the baby seals.
Every aspect of the Retreat revolves around relaxation, while pleasuring all the senses. A salt-water, infinity swimming pool overlooking the Tasman Sea and Astrolabe Islands was created along with a Japanese Spa pool with the same outlook. Private paths lead to two beaches – one at the base of the property and another via a private easement through adjacent land to the beach with the famous 120 million year old Split Apple Rock, after which the Retreat was named. Additional rejuvenation features include a FAR-infrared sauna, a large steam room, a gym, and outdoor shower with hot water.
