Located in the private Manyeleti Reserve with the Timbavati Private Reserve to the north, Sabi Sand Game Reserve to the south and the unfenced Kruger National Park to the east. Tintswalo Safari Lodge is situated a short drive from the nearest local airport in Hoedspruit, or a scenic six-hour drive/ shuttle from Johannesburg.

The well-appointed suites at Tintswalo are all individually designed and decorated to reflect the pioneering era of the 19th century African explorers. Each of the suites offers comfort and privacy with either an extra length double bed or two twins, and outdoor area. The suites all have a deck with private plunge pool, and a spacious bathroom with bath and shower. All suites are also equipped with air-conditioning and a mini bar. Raised wooden walkways lead to the main lodge. Guests can unwind at the spa, which offers a variety of massages and beauty treatments. There are also a library, a gift shop, and a shared lounge.
