Welcome to New Zealand! Upon your arrival into Queenstown Airport you will meet our local representative for a private transfer to your hotel. Take this afternoon at leisure to relax and settle in your new surroundings

Day 2

Queenstown

This morning, you will meet your private driver for Guided Sightseeing Tour in the Queenstown Region. This day will be designed to suit your interests and your guide will meet you at Eichardt’s Private Hotel.

Afterwards, enjoy a Shotover Jet experience. This is a thrilling thirty-minute jetboat ride you’ll never forget! The Shotover Canyon walls tower over you as your driver whips the boat past rocky outcrops, and skims around crags and boulders! *Please dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes. We recommend that you dress for the conditions and simply be mindful that there will be some wind-chill factor as you are travelling at speed. Sunglasses are great. Full-length spray jackets are provided.

Enjoy a visit to the nearby historic gold mining village of Arrowtown, purveying a combination of historic buildings and quiet charm. The growing café culture means there are great cafés to choose from. Being an artistic town, there is artwork ranging from traditional to contemporary on exhibit in the many homestead studios surrounding Arrowtown.

Lunch today will be at Akarua Wines and Kitchen by Artisan. Located close to Arrowtown, with a focus on quality, taste and seasonality helped from Central Otago’s local growers. The food can also be matched carefully with a selection of Akarua wines. Enjoy the beautiful garden setting and the historic cottage which has been restored.

Following lunch, head for a personalised winery excursion in the Southern Lakes Wine Region.

Visit the Gibbston Valley burgeoning wine region, the Southernmost wine producing region in the world. Here extreme conditions have led to pioneering winemaking, consistently superb wines, and worldwide recognition. Your guide will share wonderful insights into the history of the industry and the challenges facing local winemakers all while visiting a collection of fantastic and varied wineries such as Gibbston Valley, Peregrine Winery, Chard Farm Winery and many others.

This morning, meet your driver for a private vehicle transfer to Queenstown Helipad. Board your helicopter at for a private Fiordland Helicopter Excursion incl. Glacier Landing and Picnic Lunch.

Explore this famously remote and untouched part of New Zealand by helicopter. Experience flying up close to 2000ft waterfalls, traversing the majestic fiords, dropping in amongst the NZ fur seals, foraging for fresh lobster, hovering over glaciers, landing in the snow for photo memories against the mountain backdrop, and enjoy a gourmet BBQ picnic lunch up on the mountain skyline. Banks Peninsula private cruise

Experience today, a private Annandale Nature Cruise.

Explore Pigeon Bay and the surrounding waters of Banks Peninsula in Annandale’s own powerboat to view the friendly Hector’s dolphins, fur seals in their natural habitat, bird colonies around the coastline and other wildlife. The cruise also provides an excellent opportunity for you to appreciate the volcanic topography and geology that created Banks Peninsula millions of years ago. Remember to bring your camera, hat, sunglasses, jacket and suitable footwear.

Enjoy today a private Wharekauhau Farm Tour.

A visit to Wharekauhau is not complete without a tour of the surrounding farm, so today accompanied by your guide, you will enjoy a farm excursion in a comfortable 4-wheel drive vehicle. This classic New Zealand Romney sheep station features all the activities that have created New Zealand’s legendary farming heritage, including sheep shearing demonstrations, sheep dogs in action and daily farm events. Bordered by the Rimutaka Ranges and Pacific Ocean, this, not to be missed, working sheep station tour is fascinating – an absolute must! *Please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots, warm clothing and a wind jacket.

This morning, a private vehicle transfer to Wellington Airport will be arranged for you. Board your scheduled flight Airport to Hawke’s Bay Airport. Your private driver will be waiting for you at your arrival for a private vehicle transfer to The Farm at Cape Kidnappers.

Enroute to The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, you may like to enjoy lunch at Craggy Range Winery: Enjoy lunch today at Craggy Range Restaurant, winner of two hats at the 2018 Cuisine Good Food Awards, Craggy Range Restaurant offers an intimate, comfortable and relaxed space to enjoy Head Chef Casey McDonald’s signature seasonal Hawke’s Bay produce alongside Craggy Range wines while taking in views of Te Mata Peak, the lake and vineyards.

Day 12

Look out for the Kiwi Bird

Your guide will take you to the furthermost reaches of the property with views south towards Ocean Beach and Bare Island. With an experienced guide you will be taken through the old creek bed, across expansive farmland and down to historic Rangaika Beach in a Can-Am vehicle.  Today enjoy lunch at the lodge prior to your afternoon excursion.

Experience a very special activity with Kiwis. Enjoy an exclusive, guided walk on the property, in search of the New Zealand Kiwi Bird. You will help the guides use their radio tracking and monitoring devices to locate these unique, nocturnal birds. This gives you the chance to get up-close and learn more about one of New Zealand’s most endangered and rare birds. We recommend covered shoes, comfortable warm clothes, a jacket and sunglasses. The Kiwis are usually on the property from October to April.

Day 13

Winery Tour by Bike

Experience today, a Winery Tour by Bike

Today’s cycle starts at Clifton near the base of the cliffs of Cape Kidnappers. From here you follow the coast for approximately 7kms through the quaint settlements of Te Awanga and Haumoana. Wine tasting is available at the wineries of Clearview Estate and Elephant Hill along the way. On reaching Haumoana you turn inland and follow the Tuki Tuki River trail, with scenic views over orchards, vineyards and farmland, to the bustling village of Havelock North. A visit to the Origin Earth Cheese Factory and Tasting Room is a highlight for food lovers before continuing the short distance to Te Mata Estate winery. The trail ends at Black Barn Vineyard where you can browse the ‘We Love Local’ gourmet food store as well as tasting the wines and viewing the amphitheatre and market site which make Black Barn unique.

Volcanic Helicopter Excursion

Today, experience a private Mt Tarawera and Orakei Korako Volcanic Helicopter Excursion incl. Picnic Lunch.

Combine the thrill of landing on Mount Tarawera “site of the largest eruption in New Zealand’s living memory” with a flight that includes spectacular aerial views of the pristine crater lakes, stunning waterfalls and the vibrant Waimangu and Wai-O-Tapu geothermal reserves. This amazing landscape is unique to this region because of the location on the Fault-line relative to the Pacific Rim of Fire.

Enjoy a sumptuous picnic at an exclusive venue on top of Mount Tarawera and then continue your flight to land at Orakei Korako, also known as “the hidden valley and board the ferry to cross the river and begin your guided 60-minute land-based tour. Here experience hot springs, gushing geysers and the natural beauty of this geothermal wonderland.

Your flight will include the stunning Huka Falls, New Zealand’s most visited natural landmark where more than 220,000 litres of water per second barrels over an 11-meter-high waterfall, the Craters of the Moon geothermal valley, and Wairakei Terraces. Return over Taupo City and view in the distance three volcanoes to the South: Mount Ruapehu, Tongariro and Mount Ngauruhoe – the latter appeared as Mount Doom in the Lord of the Rings Movies. All complimented by your pilot’s first-hand knowledge of the region’s unique geology, culture and history served of course with a measure of genuine kiwi hospitality. *Please dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes. It is always a good idea to bring a light jacket, sunglasses, sunhat and sunscreen.
