The 500-acre estate at Riverstown Estate is a haven for wildlife with all the delightful paths through the woods and deer pastures you will have daily sightings of red squirrels, pine martens, fallow deer, jays, tree creepers, as well as the more elusive otters, Irish stoats and woodpeckers.

For all travellers passionate about fresh, locally produced food, Riverstown Estate is very fortunate to be situated at the centre of a 500-acre estate with their own vegetable and fruit gardens, providing guests with wholesome and delicious food experiences.

Location

Often known as Yeats Country for how much it inspired his poetry, Sligo is a slice of heaven along Ireland's dramatic Wild Atlantic Way – coastal villages like Rosses Point and Easkey are perfect spots to enjoy the characteristic hospitality of this region of Ireland, as well as acting as hubs for any water sport enthusiasts. With mountains, lakes and Megalithic Tombs, along with Championship golf courses, beaches and great fishing just a short drive away. Sligo is truly blessed with having some of the finest beaches in Ireland. For horse enthusiasts, galloping along the water’s edge with the sea breeze blowing against your face on the expansive and secluded Sligo beaches is what dreams are made of. But it's not all sports and mountains. Take in the area's sheer beauty by taking a boat tour around the Isle of Innisfree on Lough Gill, or picnic in a wild wonderland at Dooney Rock Forest Park. Chug to the offshore island of Inishmurray, where you can wander the ruins of a monastery founded by St Molaise in the sixth century. And if you just have not had enough of Yeats yet go to Sligo town and take in his brother Jack's famous paintings at the Model Gallery.
