Property overview

Nestled on the enchanting, lesser-travelled Southwest coast of Scotland, Glenapp Castle stands as a testament to timeless luxury and unparalleled refinement. The majestic Relais & Chateaux Castle, surrounded by 110 acres of lush gardens and woodlands, and overlooking the glistening seascape, offers a retreat into a bygone era of opulence and tranquillity. With 1 Michelin Key, the baronial-style Castle offers an intimate level of service with genuine attention to detail, making Glenapp Castle the perfect place to be inspired, reflect, recharge and reconnect in one of the 17 meticulously designed Castle Bedroom Suites, or perhaps in the incredible 4-Bedroom Castle Penthouse Suite. Two exquisite restaurants are available on site – the 3 AA Rosette Castle Restaurant serving classical Scottish dining, as well as The Azalea, by Glenapp Castle, offering a much more informal experience in the heart of nature, with Monet-esque views over the Azalea Pond. Further Glenapp highlights range from the incredible Activities Programme with 70+ experiences, to the magnificent Hebridean Sea Safari offering 5-star glamping on the remote island of Jura.

Accommodation

The Castle itself can accommodate up to 42 guests in 21 beautifully appointed rooms. This includes 17 individual Castle Bedroom Suites which are all completely unique in style, size and colour, many with stunning sea views and cosy fireplaces. The further 4 bedrooms can be found in the incredible Castle Penthouse Suite which spans the entire top floor of the Castle – over 4,500 square feet. As well as four beautiful bedrooms with private bathrooms, the Penthouse includes a dining & drawing room, period kitchen, media room, library & games room, treatment room, sauna and private access elevator, with optional Personal Butler and Private Chef services also available with a supplement charge.

Location

Ayrshire is synonymous with golf and Robert Burns – and there's plenty on offer here to satisfy both of these pursuits. Troon and Turnberry have world-famous courses, and there's enough Burns memorabilia in the region to satisfy even his most fanatical admirers. The best way to appreciate the Ayrshire coastline is on foot: the Ayrshire Coastal Path offers 100 miles of spectacular waterside walking.
