Property overview

Greenock is a private house and not a hotel, so each booking comes with the guarantee of exclusive use ensuring that you have the privacy to explore the house, castle and 400-acre parkland in peace. A stay at Greenock House gives you unparalleled access to one of the finest stately homes in Scotland so why not curl up with a book beside an open fire or relax with a glass of wine under the gaze of ancestral portraits lining the walls. Greenock House also runs a unique programme of fun filled immersive food related workshops and dining experiences for all ages. Ranging from traditional cooking classes, baking workshops, murder mysteries, pop ups and historical Dinners where guests step back in time to experience the customs and menus of the past.

Accommodation

Greenock House is set in a stunning 10,000-acre coastal Estate situated just 35 minutes from Glasgow Airport. Located in
Ardgowan which is the perfect place to relax, unwind, celebrate and meet. Greenock House can sleep up to 20 guests in a combination of 10 double and twin luxurious bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own ensuite or designated bathroom. With high ceilings, central heating and breath-taking views out across the moors and sea, Greenock House is a magical mix of grand and yet cosy making it the ideal home away from home for a weekend getaway with friends and family.

Location

Glasgow's principal architectural legacy is its impressive assemblage of stately Victorian mansions and public buildings, the product of wealth generated from manufacturing and trade. It gives the center a solid, slightly staid dignity that is rather misleading. The city – always proud of its working-class background – also innovatively displays its industrial heritage, while modern structures, many along the Clyde River, have quickly become local icons.
