Property overview

The camp's aim is to offer absolutely unique, immersive experiences, where visitors can spend the night, lunch or dinner in the heart of nature or in private historic sites, sites inhabited by a spirit of adventure like that which inspired the explorers of the early 20th century.

On site, whether in the Atlas meadow or the desert, one or more butlers and the chef will welcome you in the purest spirit of the expeditions of yesteryear, where elegance is to be found in every detail of a meticulously scripted experience. At Le Bivouac, the facilities are dedicated exclusively to couples, families and friends. The experience is available for 2 to 20 people. At the Village or the Oasis, our visitors will be immersed in different adventures, all strongly rooted in a part of Morocco's history. Off the beaten track, but witnessing what the Cherifian Kingdom has been through the centuries. Whether urban, rural or linked to the lives of illustrious characters, the selected locations welcome visitors in search of strong, authentic emotions.

Each setting is different and offers a different atmosphere. But each tells the story of the same adventures: those of Alcimat members, curious travelers in search of exclusive emotions. On a rocky plateau almost 800 meters above sea level, there will be a camp with a lounge tent, a dining tent and even a library. It will also be a group of houses in a small 17th-century village clinging to steep slopes facing the Atlas Mountains.

By recreating the spirit of the Citroën expeditions of the 20s and 30s, the concept aims to offer visitors the chance to discover camps in breathtaking locations, where they can relax for the duration of their stay, or enjoy a gourmet lunch or dinner, alone in the world. Enjoy wilderness hikes, listen to the stories of the places you've discovered or watch a romantic sunset. No more than an hour from the center of Marrakech, in these still hidden and unspoilt places, the camps are set up with the same attention to detail as our elders.

Accommodation

The furniture and accessories - beds, trunks, books, personalized crockery, armchairs, tables, cushions, sheets, plaids and lighting - have been selected for their 1900-1930 inspiration. They are signed by designer Ludovic Petit, resident in Morocco for 25 years, who adapts his creations to the story they want to tell and share.

Our visitors can also enjoy our natural swimming pool created with rocks that blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

Location

The Kingdom of Morocco boasts a wealth of history and an incomparable gastronomy, as well as landscapes each more incredible than the last.

The camp is located in a small village built on the Plateau du Kik, almost hidden, at the end of a barely passable track, dug out only a few years ago. It bears the name of the man who first came here, whose mausoleum still stands on the edge of the square housing the villagers' granaries. He has been peacefully watching over the lives of the inhabitants since the 16th century. The camps, nestled right in the heart of the village, line this small square and take travelers into another part of the history of this happy, rural African Morocco. The smiles of the inhabitants are the best testimony to this. Built of stone and restored many times over, they house dining rooms, lounges and bedrooms that the Alcimat team has taken care to furnish with the utmost comfort, without detracting from the authenticity of the old constructions.

In the restaurant, the kitchen adjoins the dining room, allowing the chef to explain the typical Amazigh dishes on offer. He tells the story of the products as well as their history. Visitors can also enjoy galleries linking tea rooms to a small office or in another house a reading room.
