This panoramic 10-day sojourn winds its way from Pretoria to Cape Town and includes a golfing and non-golfing itinerary. After a game drive in Kruger Park* guests travel through Swaziland to Hluhluwe for game viewing and along the coast to Durban* for a city tour. Traverse the Valley of a Thousand Hills to Spionkop Lodge*, the perfect base for exploring the mountains, bush, birds and battlefields of the region. Continue to Port Elizabeth* for a game drive at Addo Elephant Park then on to Oudtshoorn for an ostrich-farm visit followed by an impressive descent through the Outeniqua Mountains to George*. After visiting the natural paradise of Knysna*, the train traverses the spectacular Garden Route to the winelands and Cape mountains before this magnificent expedition ends in Cape Town.

Kruger

Breakfast is served until departure. Game drive in the Kruger Park with tea and lunch. Rejoin the train at Malelane. Tea in the lounge car and observation car. Depart for Swaziland. Dinner is served in the dining cars. Dress: Formal

Hluhluwe

Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00 as the train travels towards Hluhluwe. Lunch is served in the dining cars. Transfer (30 min) to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park for a game drive. Return to the train. Dinner is served in the dining cars

Durban

Breakfast is served until departure. Enjoy a tour of Durban and the botanical gardens. Transfer (30 min) to Umhlanga for lunch. Return to train. Depart for Ladysmith. Tea in the lounge car and observation car. Dinner is served in the dining cars.

Spionkop

Breakfast is served until departure. Transfer (30 min) to Spionkop Lodge. Enjoy light refreshments and the historic tale of Spionkop. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Return to the train. Depart for Kroonstad. Tea in the lounge car and observation car. Dinner is served in the dining cars. Dress: Formal

Coerney Siding

Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00. Lunch is served in the dining cars. Tea in the lounge car and observation car. Dinner en route to Coerney Siding. Dress: Formal

Port Elizabeth

Breakfast is served until departure. Game drive at Addo Elephant Park. Rejoin the train. Depart for Port Elizabeth. Lunch is served in the dining cars. Tea is served en route to Willowmore. Dinner is served in the dining cars. Dress: Formal

George

Breakfast is served until departure. Enjoy a visit to an ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn. Return to the train. Lunch is served in the dining cars. Arrive George. Shuttle to mall or railway museum. Tea in the lounge car and observation car. Disembark for dinner at Fancourt Golf Estate.

Knysna

Breakfast is served until departure. Disembark in George for the scenic drive (75 min) to Knysna. Enjoy a ferry ride on the lagoon. Enjoy sightseeing and shopping in Knysna OR a guided walk (60 min) on Leisure Island. Board the vehicles and return to the train. Lunch is served en route to Voorbaai. Tea is served as the train travels the Garden Route. Dinner is served in the dining cars. Dress: “1920s” Theme or Smart Casual

Cape Town

Breakfast is served in the dining cars. Lunch is served in the dining cars. Tea in the lounge car and observation car. Arrive at Platform 23 at Cape Town Station.
