The lakeside gem has its own private lake front with wonderful views, you can meander down through the amazing garden to swim in the lake. It is an elegant, spacious and very comfortable property. This magnificent property is a great base to enjoy Caragh Lake, Carrantuohil (the highest mountain in Ireland), and the majestic Macgillycuddy Reeks mountain range.

In the summer you can eat al fresco on its large patio with its outdoor fireplace or just relax in the peace and sunshine. In the winter it’s very cosy, you can snuggle into the couches. With its large living room and adjoining dining room that was just made for getting together it’s perfect for entertaining your group and other friends.

Accommodation

The stunning property has a luxurious living room with views of the lake, it is spacious yet cosy with plenty of space for all of your party. It has two couches and two comfortable armchairs to sink into and relax.

There is an adjoining spacious dining room with a large elegant table and comfortable dining chairs. There is also a small piano in this room. Step out onto the patio from here and there is a table and chairs perfect for outdoor dining, an aperitif or glass of wine.

It also comes with a separate but adjoining kitchen that is fully equipped - perfect for preparing those delicious meals; and offers additional seating for breakfast or that quick cup of tea before heading out to explore the area.

A perfect space for kids to hang out or for you to get away from it all would be the additional living space upstairs with a couch and bean bag chairs and a TV. There is also a table tennis table in a separate outdoor room, great for kids or adults to have a bit of fun.

This house sleeps eleven comfortably, it has five bedrooms all with views of the lake. The first bedroom on the ground floor is very large and has a superking bed and a bathroom ensuite. The second bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed. There is a second bathroom on the ground floor.
Upstairs the third bedroom is exceptionally large and comfortable with beautiful views of the lake, it has an ensuite bathroom and a dressing room. The fourth bedroom has a double and a single bed. The fifth bedroom has a double bed. The beds are cosy and comfortable, with cotton bedding and luxurious mattresses. There is another family bathroom upstairs.

There are four bathrooms in this home. Bedroom one has an ensuite with a bath/shower There is a family bathroom on the ground floor with a bath/shower. Bathroom three is an ensuite with a bath/shower, Bathroom four is a family bathroom with a shower.

Caragh Lake is at the centre of the Kerry ‘Reeks District’, an area of outstanding beauty with the highest mountain in Ireland, Carrantuohil, and the majestic Macgillycuddy Reeks mountain range. The perfect place to experience the beauty of the outdoors with climbing, hill walking, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, cycling and surfing on your doorstep.

The cute village of Glenbeigh is ten minutes drive away, it has the fantastic Emilie’s, a bakery with great bread and cakes and a restaurant that has the most delicious sourdough pizzas as well as lots of other great food. Glenbeigh also has a lively pub and two hotels that are great for eating and drinking. There is also a shop for all your groceries and a great butcher’s counter.

There are also exceptionally good restaurants in Killorglin, which is a ten minute drive, including the new Kingdom 1795 which is on its way to Michelin recognition and the cosy Bianconi. Killorglin also has a great fresh fish shop and delicatessen with local artisan foods

This is a fantastic location to tour the breathtaking scenery of the Ring of Kerry route around the Iveragh Peninsula, or head over to the Dingle peninsula and take the Slea Head drive. If you want to get active try the big 5 guided adventures of the Reeks district, climb Ireland’s highest mountain, kayak the length of Caragh Lake, Surf Inch Beach, cycle the Ring of the Reeks or stand up paddle board on Cloon Lake.
